Welcome to Mechanical  Engineering at UQ

Mechanical Engineering at UQ was established in 1949 and since then it has been the number one choice for Queensland school leavers wanting to pursue a career in mechanical engineering.  We take pride leading the world in our chosen research areas while offering a broad-based undergraduate and post-graduate education program across all mechanical engineering fields.

Mechanical Engineering is an exciting profession with great potential for personal growth as well as making significant contributions to the wealth and well-being of the nation.  We offer three undergraduate programs: Mechanical Engineering; Mechanical and Space Engineering; and Mechatronic Engineering (jointly with the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering).
